Christmas Chat

Best Day Everr!!! We got to talk to Brendon for close to 2 hours and it was wonderful.  He is doing good, just still trying to adjust to the language, culture and mission schedule.  He likes his companion but said it is nice when they argue Brendon can say whatever he wants and the companion just replies "si" because he doesn't understand any English.  About 5 times a day people yell at him in the street.  They call him Gordo, Gringo or Donald Trump.  He even convinced several kids that he was Donald Trump's son.  He said his spanish is awful but we got to hear him speak and it didn't sound too bad.  He said his spansih is like taking his honda civic off roading.  He can get where he needs to go but its a rough, dirty ride. Haha  He is getting used to the food for the most part, he can tolerate it all except for a certain cheese that they eat down there, he can't handle it. He has dubbed one of his pant pockets his "cheese pocket".  He does have a love for avocados now that he didn't before. One of Brendon's best friends came over (that was leaving for his mission 2 days after Christmas) and they were able to chat for a while about mission life.  It was so nice to talk to him and see his face. Its so hard to have him gone but I'm so grateful for the opportunity he has to serve and grow.

honestly super boring week. we had another baptism but his uncle baptized him so i dont have pics and besides that nothing happened lol. stoked for christmas though so i can finally speak english aloud with people who understand

I miss carpet

hahaha im starting to miss the most random things out here. i miss carpet, i miss ice, i miss warm water, i miss my family (i guess)haha, i miss being able to say what im thinking in a language i understand, i miss cups (I forgot to mention almost everything they sale here is in a bag lol), i miss real food. i ate bread and butter for dinner last night and it was one of the better meals I've had. hahaha besides that this week was pretty average. we did have my first baptism this week which was pretty cool. the girls have been coming to church with a member family for a long time and we only taught a few times so it wasn't like a true convert baptism but still cool. just grindin out here in honduras.

all the elders warned me it would happen eventually but i can honestly say i wasnt ready. at church we were talking to a member and her kid was whining so she flopped it out and started feeding him and continued talking like nothing happened lol. something ill have to get used to lol. this week was pretty dope. after i wrote last week me and my comp found some dr pepper and visited a sweet waterfall. lemme tell you after 2 months of no dp that was one of the best things ive ever tasted. as far as the week goes just normal contacting and missionary work. we were supposed to have a baptism on satruday but they didnt show up so that was a let down. on a positive note, music is a big deal down here. everyone has small tvs and huge sound systems lol. which is cool for me because when they're not playing spanish music they play classics like africa and stuff like that or new edm music. my jam right now is i wont let go by justin bieber hahaha. its really big right now in my area so everyone plays it lol. its real catchy. miss all you guys.

Honduran Thanksgiving

well first of all there isnt one. everyones tv showed videos of american thanksgiving and i just looked at the bowl of hot garbage i was about to eat and teared up. pretty average week here. although on saturday i had to teach a bunch of 16 year olds how to contact (knock doors) which was incredibly awkward because i can barely speak spanish and i still dont even know how to contact lol. 

its all good tho.

First Week

my pday is monday now. and honduras is freaking crazy. my spanish is horrible and i cant go outside without feeling like im going to get shot lol. im in this little city called ciudad españa and they said its one of the more dangerous areas to start in so i dont know how i got lucky enough to be assigned here lol. not much to say about it besides the fact that its sketch and everything is stupid cheap. my companion is elder coc and he doesnt speak a lick of english so our conversations are super interesting. luckily i can send pictures this week for the few of you that have missed my face lol.
